Privacy policy

As a matter of principle I don't agree with how our privacy has become invaded in so many ways today and how companies have become unnecessarily intrusive before allowing you to buy a product, so my privacy policy is simple. I do not collect or keep any information about you except that which is needed for you to buy goods from me and to protect myself from fraudulent claims. This can include your name, address, email address and contact number. My web site doesn't collect payment information as your payment is processed seperately by your own bank (see 'Bill Later' below).

I would never sell or divulge any of this information to anyone outside my  company without your express consent except as needed to deliver a service that you have requested e.g. for delivery of goods.

I will keep your information only for as long as necessary to assist me to comply with any legal requirements. This period will typically be 12 months from the date of delivery.

Terms and conditions

Please read my terms and conditions as they are provided to protect both you and me. I have a legal duty to comply with all laws and regulations.

Consumer rights are governed by several laws in England, Scotland and Wales including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. A summary by Citizen's Advice is given below:

Goods bought in a shop - What Are Your Consumer Rights?

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. The following time periods apply to the different circumstances highlighted.

up to 30 days

If your goods are faulty, you can get an immediate refund.

up to 6 months

If it can't be repaired or replaced, then you're entitled to a full refund in most cases.

up to 6 years, 5 years in Scotland

If the goods do not last a reasonable length of time you may be entitled to some money back.

  • For goods bought purchased in a shop you don't have a legal right to a refund or replacement just because you change your mind.

Goods ordered at home - What Are Your Consumer Rights?

The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 say:

up to 14 days

After receiving your goods, in most cases, you can change your mind and get a full refund. This right to cancel does not apply to goods which are made-to-measure or custom-made or otherwise made to your specification or clearly personalised.

  • If you have damaged the goods by handling them beyond what would be reasonable to examine them in a shop, I am allowed to deduct the loss in value of the goods from the amount reimbursed.

Deliveries and returns

  • All drop-box deliveries will require a signature of receipt. Please be available to receive delivery and provide a signature to accept delivery. This can be delegated to a nominated recipient to accept the delivery on your behalf.
  • Please be aware that if you have arranged for a redelivery it is not guaranteed to be attempted the next working day. It may take longer for the delivery to take place, especially if the item was previously held at a post office.
  • It is your responsibility to re-arrange delivery or otherwise collect the goods from the relevant courier/postal service.
  • Failure to accept delivery may incur further delivery charges.
  • Dispatch will be confirmed via email and tracking information will be provided where appropriate.
  • Prices and delivery charges can change from time to time without notice but orders that have been paid for will be charged at the rate given at the time in the shopping basket.
  • You are liable for the return delivery costs where permitted by the law. . You must return the goods without undue delay and within 14 days of notifying me that you are cancelling. Goods should be returned to Graham Browne, 31 Woodbridge Road, Leicester, LE4 7RH.
  • I will reimburse you without delay but at the latest within 14 calendar days after the day on which:
    • I receive the goods back; or
    • if earlier, the day you supply evidence to me of returning them.

Usage of goods

I only supply goods for domestic and private use and you agree not to use the goods for any commercial, business or re-sale purposes, and I have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
